We are Bloomsbury Essence, a family-run company providing sensory wellbeing sessions across Northamptonshire for care homes and community settings.
We offer a unique approach to wellbeing, believing in inclusivity. Our services have been thoughtfully adapted to allow participation from service users with learning disabilities and the elderly within our community.
Each session is structured to feel relaxed and easy to engage with for both residents and staff.
Designed to fit around you
We understand how busy care environments can be.
Sessions are fully self-contained and quietly guided from start to finish.
No equipment needed for your team, no set-up required and no disruption to your routine.
We arrive, deliver the session, and leave everything exactly as we found it.
A calming and relaxing session led by Lissa:
With a background in hypnotherapy and meditation, the session has been adapted to make it inclusive and easy to follow.
The session itself lasts for around 20 minutes, but please allow 30 minutes because we like to be unhurried and to talk about how everyone is feeling afterwards.
Aromatherapy hand massage carried out by Lissa and Sienna:
Our session is both fun and relaxing, and we encourage service users to choose their favourite oil from our selection.
We have a range of essential oils which are calming, relaxing and uplifting.
We massage both hands and lower arms, offering a person-centred, gentle touch.

Aromatic Hand Massage
1 - 6 service users £45
7 - 10 service users £65
Please allow 60 minutes for up to 6 people and 90 minutes for up to 10 people.
We are happy to separate sessions if more than 10 service users wish to take part.
